Lesson 13

Everybody has hobbies. Do you like collecting stamps? Are you interested  in listening to music? Do you enjoy playing basketball? These are all hobbies. Peter’s hobby is collecting toy cars. There is a toy shop near Peter’s home.每个人都有爱好。你喜欢收集邮票吗？你对听音乐感兴趣吗？你喜欢打篮球吗？这些都是爱好。彼得的爱好是收集玩具汽车。在彼得家附近有一个玩具店.

Peter: Bob, there’s a new type of toy car in the shop. I’m going to buy one.鲍勃，在这个商店里有一款新型玩具汽车。我要买一辆。

Bob: Do you like toy cars？你喜欢玩具汽车吗？

Peter: Yes. My hobby is collecting toy cars.  What’s your hobby?

是的。我的爱好就是收集玩具汽车。你的爱好是什么？

Bob: I ‘m interested in collecting stamps.我对收集邮票感兴趣。

Yang Ming: I have an interesting hobby, too.  Look! This is my  book of candy paper.我也有一个有趣的爱好。看！这是我的糖纸收集册

Peter: Wow, it’s super! So many  types of candy paper. So colour  and so nice.

娃，好极了!这这么多种类的糖纸。如此多彩，如此漂亮！

 Lesson 15

My grandpa lives on a farm. He has some interesting hobbies. Do  you want to know something about him? 我爷爷住在农场上。他有许多有趣的爱好。你想知道有关他的一些事吗？

Peter: I s this your grandma? 这是你的爷爷吗？

Yang Ming: Yes. He enjoys farming.是的。他喜欢耕种。

Peter: Really? Is that his hobby?真的吗？那是他的爱好吗？

Yang Ming: Yes.  He enjoys planting flowers and growing vegetables. He also likes keeping animals.是的。他喜欢种花和蔬菜。他也喜欢饲养小动物。

Peter: What animal does he keep? 他养了什么动物？

Yang Ming: He keeps chickens , ducks and some geese. My grandpa also enjoys fishing.他养小鸡、鸭子和鹅。我爷爷也喜欢钓鱼。

Peter: Is he good at fishing? 他擅长钓鱼吗？

Yang Ming: No.  Sometimes he goes fishing for the whole day but catches nothing.不善长。有时候他钓一整天，但什么也没钓到。

Peter: Nothing? Isn’t that funny? Ha, ha…什么也没钓到？那不是很滑稽吗？哈哈…
