Letter from Out-Going LCP Houston

Hi my family members,

Welcome to apply for AIESEC WUHAN LCP/EB 07/08!

?

It is an exciting and hard time for me to write this letter to all of @ers in Wuhan. Looking back to Oct. 2006, we initiate this brand new LC by 4 founders with the understanding and support of all the participants.

?

Now, after 4 months hard-working, we have achieved great progress. In ICX team, we raised New Oriental program for 30 TNs, we have approached more than 4 industries with result come out soon. In OGX team, we matched 2-3 SNs, and recruit 10 candidates for India Google and TATA. In PD team, we have fantastic partnership activities, all of our members and leaders are highly motivated by our vision, which to create more opportunities for Wuhan students and to make positive impact on Wuhan society. What’s more, we have successful registered in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and our FTP and website will soon be implemented by our IS team.

?

All these achievements are attributed to every @ers in Wuhan. As a LCP of Wuhan LC, I feel really proud and excited about our achievements and members.

?

Because of the teamwork, because of the passion we have, because of the great achievements we made, I was luckily to be elected as MC VPER in 07/08 term in AIESEC Mainland of China after my 4 months experience in AIESEC. I’d like to say thanks to all of @ers in Wuhan, just because of you, that I can achieve this.

?

It is exciting but also sad for me. For exciting part, obviously, I personally have a higher lever to contribute to AIESEC mainland of China, I have more opportunities to develop myself and build network for AIESEC and myself. For sad part, I am leaving for my beloved, excited family, AIESEC Wuhan.

?

As the first founder of AIESEC Wuhan, I spend almost all of my energy and intelligence in AIESEC work. As you can see, I was thinking and talking about AIESEC all the time, even much more than my girlfriend. I should say sorry that I didn’t take good care of my girlfriend and my parents in the past few months. I am also sacrificed a lot for AIESEC work, like my study and my money.

?

But through AIESEC work, especially as a LCP, I also gained a lot that others can never expect before. As a president of an organization, I learned how to do strategic management, I learned how to do HR management, I learned how to be a good leader, I learned how to communicate with people, I learned how to listen to others, I learned how to motivate others with the great vision, I learned how to do marketing and sales, I learned how to do time management, I learned how to work under pressure, I learned how to manage an organization from external perspectives, I learned how to make a success for NGO, I build a wide range of network from local city to international people, I learned from all of my members, my leaders and my customers.

People always asked me why I spend so much in this organization. My answer is I love this organization. I love it not because I can develop myself throughout my work, I love it not because I can find a good job after I leave it.

?

I love it because this is the only organization in the world to develop leaders.

?

In the world, we have millions of opportunities passes by from each minute. We have opportunities to go abroad to pursue our study, we have opportunities to get some certain certificate for our career development.

?

But how many of these opportunities can develop your leadership? How many of these opportunities are aligned your personal interests?

?

Only in this organization, we can talk and have a practical way to help people to develop leadership. Only in this organization, we can design and produce leadership exchange product for our SNs. Only in this organization, we can achieve things in the area we really have interest in.

This is a fantastic organization.

?

For Wuhan, this organization has a unique mission. Wuhan has been the head of middle part of china, which are eager to be involved in globalization trend. Wuhan’s students are the most smart and qualified students in China as Beijing and Shanghai. What we need is a mechanism to help talents to develop as a leader, what we need is a organization to link local entities to international platform. AIESEC Wuhan’s destination is here.

As a president/EB team of this organization, he/she may be not handsome or beautiful, he/she maybe not be really good on specific skills.

?

What most important factors for a president in my eyes is who really love this organization, want to develop leaders through this organization, can sacrifice for this organization.?

?

As soon as I have been elected as MC VPER, I will go to Beijing to start my transition and work properly in Apr.

?

For the sustainable development of AIESEC Wuhan and for create more leadership positions for @ers in Wuhan, I decided to open the application of LCP/EB of LC Wuhan for 07/08.
