Responsibilities
1. Assist in developing and implementing annual sales and marketing plan to include sales goals and budgets, for approval by company management.
2. Call on existing customers (channel partners) to identify their needs, present new products and programs, and overall strengthen their relationship with XYZ leading to increased sales.
3. Recruit, train and manage a network of independent regional distributor agencies. Work closely with these distributors, making joint sales calls in order to increase sales of XYZ products.
5. Adhere to an approved annual expense budget.
6. Maintain and transmit sales and other reports to company headquarters.
7. Manage all aspects of trade show planning, participation and follow up.
8. Propose an advertising program in relevant trade magazines and web sites and implement through support of the company marketing department.
9. Collect market and competitive intelligence information and regularly update company headquarters on key developments.
10. Approximately 80% of the time will be spent on sales and sales management and 20% on marketing and marketing management.
Requirements
1. A minimum of 5~7 years of recent successful experience in a technical sales position with a manufacturer or distributor of valves, processing equipment or related products. Strong technical background and understanding of valves and their applications.
2. Wide range of active contacts with industrial distributors in the processing industry.
3. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
4. Ability to communicate well in the English language, spoken and written skills.
5. Good computer skills. Hands-on capabilities with MS Office programs including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
6. Ability to prepare and present customer oriented presentations and proposals to corporate executives and engineers.
7. Experience working very independently in a fast moving and flexible organization.
8. Background working in a multi-national company or environment would be helpful.
9. Relevant educational degree.
10. Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 50%).
