之前版本的比亚乔MP3插电式混合动力车型为消费者提供了出色的驾驶性能以及良好的燃油经济性，同时二氧化碳排放降低50%。本次推出的300毫升引擎混合动力车型动力性相当于400毫升汽油摩托车（65%来自混合动力，35%来自电力驱动）
MP3混合动力300ie使用了一个名为Ride-by-Wire的系统来控制节流阀，这种插电式锂电池混合动力摩托车是世界上{sk}此类车型。
MP3 300ie具有很好的燃油经济性和很低的排放，在纯电动模式下可以行使20公里，混合充电模式，混合充电模式引擎可以通过加速以及刹车来获取能量进行充电。这让MP3 300ie在典型的城市路况（2/3混合动力模式，1/3纯电动模式，二氧化碳排放仅为40g/km），每升燃油可以行驶高达60公里！是同排量的车型的2倍。
