IEA Executive Director Nobuo Tanaka will attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Governors' Meeting on 23 April in Washington, D.C to participate in the discussions on the implementation of the G20 Pittsburgh mandate to phase out inefficient fossil fuel subsidies.
This session will draw on the Joint Report that has been prepared by the IEA, OECD, World Bank and OPEC on the energy security, environmental and economic benefits of phasing-out subsidies.
