这一集在NBC制作的"6 Favorite Friends Episodes Countdown"（{zshy}的六集Friends）中被选为第三名。

这一集的拍摄方式是类似"24"的实时模式，这是Friends中{wy}采用这种方式的一集。在开头Ross说还剩28分钟，到本集播出结束时的确还剩余28分钟。中间几次提到时间，也与电视播放时的实际时间相符。当然，这说的都是当时在电视台播放的时间，电视播出时中间会插播广告，总共播放30分钟。咱们现在看到的DVD有删节版和未删节版，时长在23～25分钟不等。

此外，除了{zh1}一个场景以外，这集基本只在Rachel和Monica的公寓中拍摄，并且只有一个扮演英国人的演员客串，是Friends制作成本{zd1}的几集之一。

Ross将在博物馆的慈善晚宴上演讲，带大家一起去参加。晚上他提前来到Rachel和Monica的公寓，但是显然大家都有点心不在焉。并且除了Phoebe以外，剩下的四个人连衣服都没换好。
Chandler和Joey为一个座位争得面红耳赤，{zh1}Chandler把Joey的内裤藏了起来，Joey则把Chandler的衣服都穿在了身上，而且没穿内裤。
在Chandler和Joey的打闹中，Phoebe成了受害者，衣服上被Joey弄上了一大块鹰嘴豆泥。
Rachel几套衣服换来换去，也没决定要穿哪套。Ross情急之下说了一些不该说的话，Rachel因此生气，换上家居服，决定不去参加晚宴了。
Monica听到电话留言机里的Richard的一条留言，不知道是以前的还新的，所以打电话过去求证。但是她又担心自己的留言显得不够轻松，所以决定用Richard以前告诉她的密码把留言删除。可是不知道怎么回事却把机主留言删除了，还把自己的留言设为了机主留言。。。

关于冰箱里的那杯东西
Joey: All right, they got water, orange juice, and what looks like cider. (takes a glass from the fridge.)
Chandler: Taste it.
Joey: (drinks from the glass and puts it back in the fridge) Yep, it's fat. I drank fat!
Chandler: Yeah, I know, I did that two minutes ago.
Joey：她们有水、橙汁，还有像苹果汁的东西（从冰箱里拿出一个装着液体的杯子）
Chandler：尝尝看
Joey：（喝了一口，然后马上把杯子放回冰箱）是油！我喝了油！
Chandler：对，我知道，2分钟以前我也喝了

Joey不仅喝了油，还在Ross和Rachel说话的时候打岔，试图鼓动Ross喝
Joey: Hey, Ross, want some cider?
Ross: No...
...
Joey: Glass of fat?
Joey：嘿Ross，要来点苹果汁吗？
Ross：不要（继续和Rachel说话）
Joey：那要油吗？
 

{zh1}Ross向Rachel道歉，Joey因为Ross刚冲自己和Chandler嚷嚷完，故意在旁边煽风点火
Ross: Rach, I'm sorry. Okay. Look, I-I wa, I was a jerk. I'm sorry I yelled. I want you there, I need you there. Look, what, what can I do that can show you how much, how much I want you to be there?
Joey: You could drink the fat.
Ross: Hi, welcome, to an adult conversation.
Rachel: No, no, no, now wait, wa, wa, waa-it a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. That actually, uh, that sounds interesting. I think you should drink the fat.
Joey: Yay!
Ross: Okay, okay. If that is what it takes to show you how much you mean to me, and how much I want you there. Then that's what I'll do. Okay, vanilla milkshake, just a vanilla milkshake, with chicken bits floating in it. Cheers. (starts to drink, but Rachel stops him just before he starts drinking)
Rachel: No, no, no, wait! Okay, okay. Don't! I'll go, I'll go!
Ross: You will?!
Rachel: You were really gonna do that, weren't you?
Ross: Well, yeah.
Rachel: You were gonna drink the fat.
Joey: Let's see what else he'll do!
Ross：Rach，对不起，我是个混蛋，抱歉刚才冲你嚷嚷。我想让你去，我需要你去。我要怎么做才能证明我有多希望你能去？
Joey：你可以喝那杯油...
Ross：大人说话小孩别捣乱
Rachel：等等等等，等一下，Joey说的没错，我觉得你应该喝那油

Ross：好吧，如果喝油能表示我的真心，我就喝。香草奶昔...只是香草奶昔而已...里面还漂着鸡肉末...干杯（正要大口地喝）
Rachel：等会儿，别喝！我去我去！
Ross：真的？
Rachel：你刚才是真打算喝的吧？
Ross：是啊
Rachel：你居然同意喝油...（心一下就软了，抱着Ross）
Joey：试试他还愿意干什么！

关于Chandler和Joey的座位之战
Chandler: (entering from bathroom) (to Joey) Get up.
Joey: What?
Chandler: You're in my seat.
Joey: How is this your seat?
Chandler: 'Cause I was sitting there.
Joey: But then you left.
Chandler: Well, it's not like I went to Spain. I went to the bathroom, you knew I was coming back.
Joey: What's the big deal, sit somewhere else.
Chandler: The big deal is I was sitting there last, so, that's my seat.
Joey: Well, actually the last place you were sitting was in there (points to the bathroom) . So...
Chandler：（从厕所里出来）起来
Joey：什么？
Chandler：你占了我的座位
Joey：这怎么是你的座位？
Chandler：刚才我就坐在这儿
Joey：但是你走开了
Chandler：我又没去西班牙（我又没去多远的地方），我去厕所，你知道我会回来的
Joey：多大个事儿啊，坐别地儿不就完了？
Chandler：刚才我{zh1}就坐在这儿，所以这是我的座位
Joey：实际上你{zh1}坐在那儿（指向厕所），所以...

Ross好不容易把Chandler赶去换衣服，Chandler换完衣服回来，该轮到Joey去换衣服了。
Chandler: All right, you will notice that I am fully dressed. I, in turn, have noticed that you are not. So in the words of A. A. Milne, "Get out of my chair, dillhole!"
Joey: Okay. (he gets up and takes the cushions with him, as he starts to leave)
Chandler: What are you doing?
Joey: You said I had to give you the chair, you didn't say anything about the cushions.
Chandler: The cushions are the essence of the chair!
Joey: That's right! I'm taking the essence.
Chandler：你看见了吗，我换完衣服了？相反，我注意到你还没换衣服。所以用A. A. Milne的话来说就是“从我的座位上滚开，蠢驴！”
Joey：好吧（站起来拿着沙发垫就走）
Chandler：你在干吗？
Joey：你说必须把座位还给你，但你没说沙发垫啊
Chandler：沙发垫是座位的精华所在啊！
Joey：没错！我就是要把精华带走！

Chandler所说的A. A. Milne指Alan Alexander Milne，英国作家，小熊维尼故事的作者，另外还写有大量的儿童诗歌。
不过Chandler说的那句话带着脏字，很明显不可能出现儿童读物中。"dillhole"这个词{zx0}出现在"Beavis and Butthead"中（这部动画片在之前的0215中提到过），用于替代那个{jd1}不能在电视中出现的词。。。

不一会儿Joey怒气冲冲地进门
Joey: (entering) Where's my underwear?!
Ross: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Come on, come on, what? You took his underwear?
Chandler: He took my essence!
Ross: Okay, now hold on. Joey, why, why can't you just wear the underwear you're wearing now?
Joey: Because, I'm not wearing any underwear now.
Ross: Okay, then why do you have to wear underwear tonight?
Joey: It's a rented tux. Okay. I'm not gonna go commando in another man's fatigues.
Chandler: Well, then it looks like somebody is gonna have to give back somebody his cushions.
Joey: Okay, you hide my clothes. I'm gonna do the exact opposite to you.
Chandler: What are you, what are you gonna show me my clothes?
Joey: Hey, opposite, is opposite! (leaves)
Joey：我的内裤呢？！
Ross：哇哦哇哦，（对Chandler说）怎么回事？你拿了他的内裤？
Chandler：他拿了我的精华！
Ross：好吧，等会儿。Joey，你不能穿你现在穿着的那条内裤吗？

Chandler：看来某人必须把某人的沙发垫还回来了
Joey：好吧，你把我的内裤藏起来，我就要做和这正好相反的事
Chandler：怎么，你想把我的衣服都拿出来给我看？
Joey： 嘿，相反的...就是相反的！（摔门走人）

这边Rachel刚表示不打算去参加晚宴了，那边Joey再次进门
(Joey enters wearing a lot of clothes)
Joey: Okay, buddy-boy. Here it is. You hide my clothes, I'm wearing everything you own.
Chandler: Oh my God! That is so not the opposite of taking somebody's underwear!!
Joey: Look at me! I'm Chandler! Could I be wearing any more clothes? Maybe if I wasn't going commando...
Chandler: Oooo-ooh!
Joey: Yeah. Whew, it's hot with all of this stuff on. I ah, I better not do any, I don't know, lunges. (starts doing lunges)
（Joey身上穿了很多很多衣服）
Joey：好了，倒霉孩子，我来了。你把我的衣服都藏起来，我把你的衣服都穿上
Chandler：我的天啊！这根本不是和拿别人的内裤相反的事！
Joey：看我啊！我是Chandler，我还能穿更多的衣服吗？如果我不穿内裤...
Chandler：哦...哦！
Joey：是啊，哟，穿这么多衣服还真热啊，我{zh0}别再做箭步蹲了...（开始做箭步蹲）
 

Chandler还在为座位的事耿耿于怀，以至于{zh1}在晚宴上又和陌生人—— Ross的同事杠上了
Chandler: Excuse me. Hi.
Whitfield: Yes?
Chandler: Well, your kind of sitting in my seat.
Whitfield: What do you mean, your seat?
Chandler: I mean, I was sitting there.
Whitfield: But, you got up!
Chandler: But, I never left the room!
Whitfield: But, you left the chair area.
Chandler: All right, that's it, give me your underwear.
Chandler：你好！不好意思...
Whitfield：什么事？
Chandler：你好像做在我的座位上了
Whitfield：什么意思，你的座位？
Chandler：刚才我坐在这儿
Whitfield：但是你站起来了啊！
Chandler：但是我没离开这个房间啊！

关于Monica的强迫症+偏执狂
Phoebe的衣服被Joey弄上了鹰嘴豆泥，向Monica求助。Monica心思全在Richard的留言上，对平时最喜欢干的事都没了兴趣。。。
Ross: Don't rub it! What gets out hummus? What gets out humus?
Phoebe: Monica, Monica! You know, what gets out hummus?
Monica: If it is a new message, what is he calling to say?
Phoebe: Okay, thanks. Yeah, I'll try that.
Ross：先别擦，鹰嘴豆泥怎么洗掉？怎么洗？
Phoebe：Monica，你肯定知道，怎么洗掉鹰嘴豆泥？
Monica：如果那是新的留言，他想说什么？
Phoebe：好吧，谢谢，我会试试的

Monica听到了Richard答录机上的另外一条女性留言后，心神不宁。为了验证那是Richard的女儿Michelle，她打电话给Michelle，听到了对方的声音后，没说话就挂了，紧接着，电话响起。。。
Phoebe: I'll get it, okay. (answers phone) Hi, Monica and Rachel's. (listens) Yeah, just a second, can I ask who's calling. (to Monica) Oh, ew, it's Michelle! Ew! She, she must have that Caller Id thing. You should get that.
Monica: (on phone) Uh, Michelle. Yeah, that was me, I-I dialed your number by mistake... Michelle, I only beeped in so I could hear my message. I mean that's allowed. Yeah-huh! I mean look, yeah, you know what I would really appreciate it if you didn't tell your Dad about. What do you mean, you're not comfortable with this? Come on we're friends!! (Michelle hangs up) That bitch always hated me. I'm calling her back.
Ross: No, no, no, no. Tick, tick, tick, tick.
Monica: Okay, fine. (runs to her room)
Chandler: They got a phone in there, right?
Phoebe: Okay, we're on it. We're on it.
...
Phoebe: (yelling from the bedroom) Get away from the phone! (she comes into the living room carrying the phone) She's just getting dressed.
Chandler: Is it wrong that I was totally aroused by that?
Phoebe：我来接。（接起电话）嗨，这是Monica和Rachel家。稍等，请问您哪位？（对Monica说）惨了，是Michelle！她肯定有来电显示，你也应该办一个。

Chandler：她屋里也有电话对吧？

（过了一会儿屋里传来一阵喊声）
Phoebe：放下电话！（拿着电话机听筒走出来，对Ross说）她已经开始换衣服了

Monica仍不甘心，再次致电Richard
Machine: "Hi, this is Richard." You have three new messages.
Monica: Not any more!
Machine: Message erased. To record a message, begin speaking at the tone.
Monica: Hi, uh, Richard, it's Monica, um, listen I did something kind of crazy tonight, um, maybe I'm getting my period or something, I don't know. Um, anyway, I, I, I beeped into your machine and I heard a message that, that freaked me out, and um, you know what Michelle will tell you the rest. I, I, um, I'm sorry, okay, I, I hope that we can forget the whole thing. Okay, bye.
Machine: Your outgoing message has now been changed.
Monica: Outgoing! Did that say outgoing?! Not, outgoing!!!
Monica: (on machine) "Hi, uh, Richard it's Monica, um, listen I did something kind of crazy tonight, um, maybe I'm getting my period or something, I don't know." Nooo!!
Phoebe: How did you do that?
Monica: I don't know!
Machine: Good-bye.
Monica: Noooo!!!!
Monica: Maybe we could call the phone company. Maybe they could change the message. Maybe they can change his number.
Phoebe: Yeah, after this, I think he'll be doing that himself.

Monica：（再摁了几下）再也没有啦！

Monica：机主留言？它说机主留言？不应该是机主留言啊！
（Monica又在键盘上按了几下）
答录机：“嗨Richard，是我Monica。嗯...今晚我干了些疯狂的事，也许是我的大姨妈要来了吧，我也不知道...”不会吧！！！

Rachel: Yeah, which, by the way, Chandler, I would like back one of these days.

Chandler: We used them as pillows when we went camping.
Ross: What?
Chandler: (shyly) The sheep.

Phoebe: Rachel didn't have anything I liked but she had this Christmas ribbon and I thought, "Alright, I'll be political."
Chandler: What are you supporting?
Phoebe: Duh, Christmas.
Phoebe：（从屋里出来，胸前一朵超大的丝带做的圣诞花）好了，我准备好了
Ross and Chandler：哦，啊！
Phoebe：Rachel的衣服我都不喜欢，她有这个圣诞花，我心想“好吧，那我就政治点”
Chandler：你支持谁？

Chandler有了惊人的发现
Chandler: (to Phoebe) You know what's weird. Donald Duck never wore pants. But whenever he's getting out of the shower, he always put a towel around his waist. I mean, what is that about?

晚宴上，Ross明显喝高了
Ross: So I said, "Who are you, Cro-Magnum P.I.?"
"Magnum, P.I."在0215 Richard首次出现的那集中已经说过了，正是Richard的扮演者Tom Selleck最为xx的电视作品。他扮演的Magnum在剧中是一名私家xx（Personal Investigator，简写为P.I.）。
Cro-Magnon（克鲁麦农人）被认为是欧洲人的祖先，在距今4万年前从非洲到达欧洲。
Ross把Magnum P.I.和Cro-Magnon组合在一起，发明了Cro-Magnum P.I.这个词，还觉得很好笑，但是其他人都没反应。。。
