Experimental Investigation on Noise Level in Terminal Air Conditioning UnitYANG Jian, FANG Wang,WU Zhi-min University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai 200093 ,ChinaAbstract:Noise level is an important parameter in air conditioning terminal unit. In order to get a quiet and comfortable room condition, some sound pressure level tests and controlling methods are discussed for fan-coil units which are the typical terminal unit in air condition engineering. The A-weighted sound pressure level is measured with test standard for national code. For most terminal units multifarious sound sources and transmission paths can cause noise problems in rooms. For sound source control, it is necessary to getting a reasonable match of the product＇s internal structure design. For sound transmission path control, getting a w ell combination for the unit installation in a room or a building is also important.
