美国夏威夷大学客座教授，江苏大学艺术学院教授、博士、硕士生导师、常务副院长，中国美术家协会会员，xx画家、美学家张乾元先生的水墨艺术巡展2010年2月起从夏威夷到合肥、到纽约开始跨洋巡回展出。
应厦门张雄书画展览馆、安徽美协《美术时空》杂志的邀请，张乾元教授从美国纽约来到厦门，开始在厦门张雄书画展览馆泉州分馆、漳浦分馆，以及甘肃省美术馆巡回展览。本次张乾元水墨艺术泉州展，7月24在泉州文化宫书画展览馆张雄分馆开幕，展期5天，将展出张乾元教授近年创作的中国画人物、山水，以及部分油画作品50余件精品，从不同角度展示出张乾元教授{zy1}的艺术实力、独特的水墨灵性和深厚的文化修养。
张乾元曾多次参加中国美术家协会主办的展览活动并获奖，曾应邀为北京天安门城楼、国务院机关事务管理局创作大型中国画作品，多次在瑞典、芬兰、俄罗斯、土耳其、美国举办个人画展，创作有大量的油画、中国画、雕塑作品。同时，他对周易、儒家、道家哲学、东西方美学比较学有较深入的研究。
The transoceanic exhibitions of ink and brush art by Prof. Zhang Qianyuan have begun itinerate from Hawaii to Hefei-- New York since February 2010. Dr. Zhang Qianyuan, famous artist and aesthete, has been a visiting professor at the University of Hawaii, professor and dean at the Arts College of the Jiangsu University, tutor for postgraduates, and a member of the China Artists Association.
Prof. Zhang Qianyuan was invited by Zhangxiong Art Gallery in Xiamen and Space and Time of Art (a magazine hosted by Anhui Province Artists Association) come from New York to Xiamen, to show his artwork in Quanzhou Art Gallery, Zhangpu Art Gallery and Gansu Province Art Museum.
This solo exhibition will be opened at the exhibition hall of Zhangxiong Branch of Quanzhou Cultural Palace in July 24 – 28, and showing his ink brush paintings, including traditional style Chinese landscape painting and figure painting, and some oil paintings, more than 50 high quality paintings, from a different angle reveal his excellence in the art and profound learning on traditional cultures.

张乾元，出生于安徽砀山，毕业于安徽师范大学美术系、瑞典人民大学世界语系、中国艺术研究院研究生部、南京艺术学院美术学院，美术学博士。现为江苏大学艺术学院教授、硕士生导师、美术学专业带头人、常务副院长，中国美术家协会会员，美国夏威夷大学人文艺术学院客座教授。
1992年曾应邀为北京天安门城楼绘制《大禹治水图》，为国务院西山处创作《后羿射日》等作品，这些作品已被天安门城楼、国务院机关事务管理局作为珍品收藏。《天籁神曲》获文化部侨联主办的“全国书画大展”银奖，以及多次参加由中国美术家协会主办的{gjj}的重要展览。1994年-1996年在芬兰、瑞典、土耳其、俄罗斯多次举办个人画展，旅居土耳其及瑞典。20年访问瑞典德兰纳大学、苏格兰格拉斯哥大学等。2010年6月应纽约中华书画艺术协会邀请，作为来自夏威夷大学的客座教授在纽约法拉盛举办个人画展，并为社区举办周易美学讲座。
其美学论文及绘画作品发表于《文艺研究》、《美术观察》、《美术》、《装饰》等{gjj}重点学术期刊上30余种。2003年中国文联出版社出版其美学专著《绘事后素——中国古代绘画的五色美学观念》，2006年中国书店出版社出版其美学专著《象外之意——周易意象学与中国书画美学》，该研究2007年获得江苏省第十届哲学社会科学优秀成果三等奖。

Dr. Zhang Qianyuan, was born in Dangshan County, Anhui province. He graduated from the Art Department of Anhui Normal University, graduated from the Esperanto Department of Karlskoga People’s Institute in Sweden. He received his postgraduate from the graduate school of the China National Academy of Arts，and received his doctorate from the Fine Arts Department of the Nanjing Arts Institute.
He has been a professor and dean at the Arts College of the Jiangsu University, a tutor for postgraduates. He has been an academic pacesetter in the field of fine arts. He also is a member of the China Artists Association, and Visiting Professor at the College of Arts & Humanities of the University of Hawaii, U.S.A.
In 1992, he, on invitation, painted Emperor Dayu Controlling the Floods for Tian An Men City Gate Tower and Hou Yi Shooting the Sun for the State Council, China's Cabinet. The former has been kept as a collection in Tian An Men City Gate Tower, and the latter in the Administrative Bureau of Official Affairs for the State Council. China National Academy of the Arts, Chinese Artists Association and Chinese Calligraphers Association. In 2004, his traditional Chinese painting The Best Songs won the Silver Medal of the National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition hosted by the Federations of Returned Overseas Chinese of the Ministry of Culture. In addition, he attended many important national exhibitions hosted by the Chinese Artists Association. During 1994 to1996, he held more than 20 solo art exhibitions in Finland, Sweden, Turkey, and Russia. He lived in Turkey and Sweden for 3 years. In 2009, Prof. Zhang made an official visit to the Dalarna University of Sweden, Glasgow University of Scotland. He was invited by N.Y. Chinese Calligraphy, Arts Society came to Flushing, New York, as visiting professor from University of Hawaii, to hold solo exhibition of fine art in June, 2010, and present the academic lecture on I-Ching aesthetics to the community.
More than thirty of his articles on aesthetics and his paintings were published in such key national academic journals as Culture Study, Observation of Art, Art, and Decoration. His monograph，Aesthetics on Five elemental Colors of Ancient Chinese Painting was published by CFLACPC (China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Publishing Corporation) in 2003. His second monograph, the Theory of Images of Zhou Yi and Aesthetics of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, was published by China Bookstore Press in 2006. His second monograph won the third prize of the Tenth Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Science of Jiangsu province in 2007.
