差压(DP)流量计由孔板、DP变送器及其他组件构成。由于差压流量计可靠性高,而且无需湿法标定(wet calibration),因此应用广泛。简单的孔板设计与先进的DP变送器相结合,使差压式流量计的测量特别可靠。但是,将过程压力传输至DP变送器的脉冲线路很容易受到流体冷凝、冰冻或腐蚀的影响而发生堵塞。为了确保有效的运行与维护,必须解决脉冲线路堵塞问题。
横河电机的系列DP变送器上安装了能够迅速检测出静压与差压的硅谐振式传感器。这些特点使处于静态和差压状态下检测波动的诊断技术得到了发展。通过使用现场总线等数字式通信网络,操作员可以确认位于某一安装现场的脉冲线路是否发生堵塞。这些信息能大大降低维护工作量和成本。

当脉冲线路堵塞时,差压和静压中的波动分量通常会减少。
差压和静压以非常短的时间周期进行采样,根据二者差异的平方和计算波动分量。根据平方和开平方根可以计算波动分量的振幅。由于这些分量受流量变化的影响,因此通过流量补偿将其作为流量分量提供。
表1列出了当在H侧,L侧以及两侧发生堵塞时的波动分量值,同时还列出了不发生堵塞时的值。当脉冲线路的两侧都发生堵塞时,所有的波动分量值都会减少。当脉冲线路的一侧发生堵塞时,相应的波动分量值减少。在这种情况下差压的波动分量大于无堵塞时的值。
