dmg :: events and MICE Arabia Group (MAG) has announced plans to launch The Big 5 International Building & Construction show in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in February/March 2011, supported by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce.
英国DMG集团和MICE阿拉伯集团（MAG）宣布，将于2011年2月27日-3月1日在在沙特阿拉伯（吉达）举办五大行业展（Big5）沙特建筑建材博览会，此项目获得沙特商务部吉达商会的支持。

Running from 27 February – 2 March 2011, The Big 5 Saudi will open its doors for the first time at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events.  The move comes as a result of a huge interest in the Saudi construction market, where an estimated US$420 billion of projects are currently underway. 
2011年2月27日至3月2日，在吉大展会中心举办首届沙特BIG 5展会及行业峰会。目前沙特本土在建工程，项目总额达预估为4200亿美元。随着吉大-big 5的召开，大量资金将涌入沙特建材本土市场。

Already established as the leading exhibition of its kind in the Middle East, The Big 5 is a trusted brand amongst exhibitors and visitors.  The new event in Saudi will bring together suppliers and developers from across the globe, and allow them to maximise business opportunities in this growing market.  It will also extend The Big 5’s knowledge and expertise to the western province of Saudi.

In addition, the first ever Big 5 Saudi Conference will provide a highly interactive platform for construction leaders in the Kingdom to come together under one roof and debate not only the key challenges, but more importantly, the common solutions which need to be implemented.  As more and more investment is poured into buildings, real estate and infrastructure developments, there will be a heightened focus at the conference on how to ensure sustainability and economic viability of all projects.

The Big 5 was founded in 1982 and takes place annually in Dubai, UAE.  It attracts over 3,000 exhibitors from over 70 countries, with more than 40,000 visitors during the four-day event.  It has grown to become the Middle East’s largest and most important event for the building and construction industry.
