Challenge:

To cooperate and communicate via teleconference has been an indispensable method for GE and even one part of the culture. Since China is becoming the principal center of GE global business, GE has invested in China in a large-scale, with a rapid growth of employees up to over 10,000. The vast majority of GE China employees originally utilize Hong Kong and American teleconference to hold conferences, so all the participants need to hold or join in the conferences by international call. According to the evaluation of GE purchasing department and IT department, 70% of participants come from Mainland China and the employees of GE China spend up to 10 million international calling fees on teleconferences every year. Meantime, international suppliers cannot satisfy the service need of localization due to some important and large-scale issuance conferences the employees and clients participated in.
